Helping Child “Witches” in Africa
Posted on | December 9, 2007 | 4 Comments
I keep reading the stories about children in the Congo and Nigeria who are abandoned, beaten, and killed after being accused of being witches. It breaks my heart every time — to the point where I am shaking. I finally found an organization that is specifically working to help these kids. I am going to donate, and I hope you will too.

Yes, I will also start supporting them. I will also see if there is any other way I can support them from the UK. It hurts me to see their pain. – Lady Skydancer

Stepping Stones Nigeria is based in the UK. I’ve emailed with the founder, and he is very open to our support. Please do email him through their web site.

I’ve donated some money, and would happily sponsor any knitters as well.
Only thing is, would knitted clothes be appropriate, as they might be too hot?

I have started a Facebook group to draw attention to this issue, and to the charity.
