This Witch Has the Stockings!

My striped tights from We Love Colors came in last night. So, I immediately tried them on and then realized that I had nothing to wear that showed them off! So, I went into the extra closet where I keep a few skirts and dresses that I like but don’t fit anymore….WAIT! I’ve lost 40 pounds since July.  Maybe they do fit!

ROCK ON, BABY! I haven’t been able to wear this dress since 2002! Maybe it’s too young for me and not in style…I have no idea…but for the first time in a long time, I like how my body looks in a photograph!

I’ve given myself a goal of getting to the half-way point (5 more pounds) in my weight-loss journey (90 pounds total) and then I can buy some new clothes that FIT!  You bet I’m getting a black skirt to wear to work that will show off a bit of these crazy fun stockings this winter.

Yeah, yeah, I am also eating better and eating more consciously — meaning that I am actually conscious when putting food into my mouth and thinking about whether I really want to eat this thing in my hand or not. In the past, I just ate whenever I was sad or bored or just feeling “empty.” And I could still fall into that. I’m not out of the woods yet. But at least I am aware. I’ve been doing Weight Watchers and cooking more at home. 

Anyway, I am so excited.  Hey, did you notice the blurry image of my orange cat Hermes racing by in the last photo? I just did….he’s probably on his way to mess with the xmas tree. *sigh*
